Hipster one tiered skirt

8 ply yarn
New Zealand/France=3.25 mm (USA=3, Canada=10) knitting needles
New Zealand/France=4.00 mm (USA=5, Canada=8) knitting needles
6sts to 7 rows = 1 square inch (2.5 square cms)

Back

With 3.25 mm needles cast on 32 sts and work 2 rows in k1, p1 rib. Change to 4.00 mm needles and work following rows in stst starting with a k row. Next 4 rows: work straight. 7th row: *k2 tog, rep from * to end. (16 sts rem) Next 11 rows: work straight. Change to 3.25 mm needles and work following rows in rib as follows. Next row: k2 tog, *p1, k1, rep from * to last 2 sts, p2 tog. Next 5 rows: *k1, p1, rep from * to end Cast off in k1,p1 rib.

Front

Same as for back.

Making up

Oversew side seams and tidy loose ends.
